We intentionally encourage all of our High School students to find a place of service at Southside.
We believe wholeheartedly that High School Students who know Jesus as their Savior are gifted with things they can and want to accomplish for God. We make service opportunities available to students, and raise the bar - expecting them to show up on time, serve faithfully, and become part of the whole team effort.
We are praying, then, as these students graduate from High School some day, they will already have a hunger for being involved in a local church, and will go to college or careers knowing how to be a valuable part of God's program - the local church.
Because of this thought-through and prayed over committment to student service, our High School students do not meet for a class on Sunday mornings. Their worship and fellowship time is on Sunday nights at 6:00pm. On Sunday mornings we encourage all High School students to either serve in a ministry or attend a Life Group and also a worship service - at 9:00am and at 10:45am.
A typical High School student at Southside Bible is involved in helping with a Children's class or interning in an Adult Class at 9:00am, and then attends the 10:45 Worship service with his/her parents or with other students.
We invite you to talk to Brad Spangler, Pastor of Students, and get involved at Southside. There is a place of service for you here!
